This lesson provides students the knowledge to create navigation elements for websites and apps. Have you ever been on a road trip and didn't know where you were going? What would you need in order to get to the intended destination? A road map of course. Students will look at different ways to structure the text on a web page, including lists, tables, and images. ![]() Website pages need to have engaging and interactive content so that they can not only provide the information they're looking for but to keep them coming back time and time again. The fifth lesson of the course gives students an opportunity to continue to enhance website pages by adding additional layers of text and images to website pages. Lesson 5: Working With Images, Lists, Tables, & Tables Additionally, students will gain an understanding of how page layouts can be used along with templates to make a consistent look and feel of projects from page to page. This template will contain the basic structure and formatting for your pages so that you can focus more on content. Instead of starting from scratch for each page or copying/pasting from a home page, students will create a template that can be used as a starting point for the other pages on the site. ![]() Lesson 4: Page Layouts & TemplatesĪs a website designer's basic web pages take shape, they will want to create pages that are more complex and interactive with their visitors. Having knowledge of this aspect of the program goes a long way in being able to create websites quickly and efficiently. In this lesson, participants will review the basics of building websites within Dreamweaver CC. ![]() The next step towards mastering the software is building website pages within it. Learning the fundamentals down of website design is important to know so that you are able to harness the power that Adobe Dreamweaver CC offers. The author will go in-depth in the fundamentals of these programming languages and one is free to decide to determine which view is more comfortable for them as they learn other aspects of Dreamweaver CC when developing online content. Many times users find that there is a problem with the page and the only way to fix it is to use the code view. While using Dreamweaver to create and format pages, the pages will be created in HTML and CSS. These two tools are the building blocks of all web sites. The second lesson of the course explores how coding can be used to enhance projects created within Dreamweaver CC. Students, conclusively, will take a tour of the Dreamweaver workspace and learn about the tools that are available. The more aware you are of where you are in a document and what the screen is displaying, the better you'll be able to handle any issues that come up. If one is already familiar with other Adobe applications, then some of this will be familiar, but spend time getting comfortable with the information that is available on the screen. In this lesson, students will install the Dreamweaver CC software and class files, and get comfortable working with the Dreamweaver environment.
